HIDDEN JEWELS OF THE PARANÁ RIVER
The mysterious Iberá Wetlands & Iguazú Falls
By choosing this excursion, the drive from the mysterious Iberá Wetlands to the world famous Iguazú Falls is a great off beat experience!
Along the dirt track near the Iberá you will observe wildlife and birds.
Around lunchtime you dive into the subtropical forest at the transition zone (in between pampas and jungle) and you will enjoy a unique hike in a nature reserve with panoramic views over the Paraná River and – if the weather allows – lunch will be a picnic break high above the River.
The next stop along the way up North is a semi-precious stone mine where you can actually watch the miners extract the Amethysts and Agates from the basaltic rock near the Paraná River bed.
By the time you arrive to Iguazú, you´ve gotten a great impression of the Alto Paraná region and you will be ready for the highlight, Cataratas del Iguazú.
