2 DAYS OUTBACK ADVENTURE ON AGUAPEY RIVER
The genuine outback feeling
The Corrientes province is surrounded and full of rivers and streams (Corrientes or “Taragüi” in the native language Guaraní means current or stream).
You will have the opportunity of exploring one of these rivers which still crosses the wide landscape in huge meanders surrounded by wonderful jungles.
The Aguapey River doesn’t have a fast current and you will need to do quite a bit of paddling work during these two days.
Your effort will be more than paid with the observation of king fisher, all kinds of egrets, playful giant otters, capybaras, etc.
During sunset you will fish your own dinner that will get prepared on a romantic camp site at the river side. You will get the real outback feeling as you won’t ever see another boat or even human being.
At night, you will be a witness of one of the greatest skies ever as there is absolutely no light pollution within hundreds of kilometers.
In the morning, the impressive screams of the howler monkeys will wake you up to start you second day of canoeing and exploring wilderness.
